Levi's Vintage Clothing 1954 501Z Jeans - Rigid
In the mid 1950s, Levi Strauss & Co. started selling the 501 Jeans on America's east coast for the first time. In order to make potential consumers comfortable with the company's products, Levi's introduced a zipper version of the button fly jeans in 1954: the 501Z. It had everything longtime wearers loved: the silhouette, the tough but flexible fabrics, rivets, etc. The 1954 501Z Jean retains the two-back pocket covered rivets and the Two Horse leather patch.
The 'Rigid' finish are unwashed and designed to be shrunk to fit the wearer. The general recommendation is that you add two inches to each of your regular waist and leg measurements. Do not alter the hem of your jeans until the shrinking process is complete, as they can shrink up to 10%.
